Project Description

  • The purpose of this delineation is to identify wetland resources located within the area of investigation for the development of the best residential site within the agricultural fields on the upland areas and to avoid filling of any wetlands identified on the AOI.

  • Total Project Area is 33.173 acres with 28.023 acres of wetlands.

M&E Delineation Results

  • The wetland area is due to surface water runoff and the depressional areas with tight soil conditions (clay) when significant rain events occur causing the saturated soil conditions in the wetland area. 

  • According to the soils report , the project area is comprised of poorly drained Poy silty clay loam (Pt), somewhat poorly drained Nebago fine sand (NeA) somewhat poorly drained Zittau silty clay loam (ZtA) and moderately well drained Borth Silty clay loam (BoB)

  • The Wisconsin Wetland Inventory Classification is Emergent/wet meadow, persistent, wet soils, palustrine (E1Ka) with areas which appear to have been cultivated in the past, but which have since been abandoned from cultivation and have reverted to wetland vegetation.
