We are seeking a self-motivated Project Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary consulting firm, who has a desire to be a part of our growing engineering and land surveying company and has the following skills and qualifications:
- Assist in the design of civil site and infrastructure facilities, including but not limited to utilities (sanitary, water, storm), drainage, stormwater management, and erosion control plans
- Assist in preparation of construction documents and reports such as stormwater management plans, project specifications, construction details, quantities/estimates, alternatives analyses, agency coordination and permitting applications
- Perform construction and erosion control inspections, documentation and fieldwork
- Complete design work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, surveyors, environmental scientists and technicians
- Communicate effectively with and report design work to Project Manager
- Attend and participate in meetings with project teams, clients and the general public
- Work in office and field environments
Qualification and education requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- Preferred minimum of 1-3 years of experience in full-time or internship employment under a civil land development firm or municipality
- Advanced coursework and/or experience in stormwater modeling (e.g., municipal hydraulics and hydrology courses)
- Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Technical Standards and Wisconsin Legislature requirements related to construction and post-construction management (e.g., NR 151, NR 1001)
- Registered Wisconsin EIT or ability to register as an EIT within 1 year [ability to pass the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and pursue Professional Engineer (PE) license]
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, WinSLAMM and HydroCAD software
- Familiarity with HEC-RAS and Bentley StormCAD preferred, but not required
- US Citizen or in possession of a valid green card
- Valid driver’s license
