A community completes a comprehensive plan with the assistance of our planning staff. As the community begins work on the actions outlined in the implementation section of the comprehensive plan, it becomes clear that the relationship the local officials have developed with Martenson & Eisele will make the process go smoothly. One of the first steps is the revision of the community's zoning and land development ordinances, which is worked on together by our planning and surveying staff. The redevelopment of a brownfield site in the community is also a high priority. Our environmental engineering staff works cooperatively with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Wisconsin Department of Commerce on putting together a plan that will clean up the site, making it ready for redevelopment. During the comprehensive planning process, the community discovers that one of its oldest employers is planning an expansion, and needs assistance with the relocation of utilities, streets, and a railroad spur. All four areas of Martenson & Eisele's services – planning, surveying, engineering, and architectural – are going to be needed to make this project happen.
