The Wal-Mart Super Center is located on 22.7 acres in the City of Oshkosh Wisconsin. The on-site building was approximately 207,185 s.f. and the onsite parking lot is approximately 12.50 acres.
A boundary and topographic survey were completed as well as construction staking for the building site and parking. The approval process and rezoning with this project was handled on our end with the City of Oshkosh. The first step in the design process was to establish the first floor elevation for the building. Once the elevation was established, the parking lots and utilities were designed. An elevation was selected to best match the surrounding topography.
On-site detention is another critical factor in site development. On-site detention must be large enough to meet current community and DNR regulations. This site utilized a series of connected detention ponds to effectively control the 100-year rainfall.
